transitioning, combining and blending worlds
not only with another person
but with a boy,
and with one that i kinda like (!)
has been interesting and funny. trying and delightful.
it's initiated a ton of compromise. it's wonderful, its different.
and my little world has been rocked, no doubt.
but really, it's just plain awesome and mostly funny every single day.

exhibit a:

i get home from working on an ordinary thursday. 5:30 pm.
i walk up my front walk and what do i hear but a dog giggle and a play-gun firing.



i move closer and i spot a the verdict.



yes, indeed. all of the porch furniture and cushions had been rearranged.



collin and a friend are drinking beer and playing a nintendo duck hunt tournament on a 1980's tv on our front porch.



mind you, we do not own a nintendo {or any gaming system for that matter} nor has that tv ever functioned since i have known collin.

come to find out he bought this one piece system that holds over 100 atari and old school nintendo games off of a hustler at a kiosk in the god forsaken obnoxious maze and tourist trap, we call opry mills mall during his weekly shopping trip to bass pro shop. and he was absolutely beside himself excited.

this outdated tv had to be used because the system was not compatible with any of our other tv's that were (gasp!) flat screen or had been produced in the 21st century.

and i mean, where else would you hook up a gamer's tv but on the front porch, right?

good lord, what have i signed up for?
ya gotta love him.
...i sure do.
