plan-less turned perfect

i approached friday with a mixed mind and mild fatigue; in great need of just being.
still recovering from an exhausting roller coaster holiday weekend

and an emotional filled week overflowing with
love and joy over a new sweet baby girl.
i had a plan-less weekend filled with
a work obligation on a saturday,
no evening plans, the boyfriend out of town,
and intentionally empty social calendar.

lindsay was in the same boat and of the same mindset so we began chatting about
the what if's
and taking advantage of the sweet fall teases of
cool breezes and perfect blue skies.
we flirted with gracing the concert in my neighborhood park
...wine on the porch or just beer and football.
then with one simple text message she sent that said:
"should we do a craft?"
i knew that was it.
i needed to craft. lindsay and i needed to craft.
our art egos, sally and skipper needed a little boost and attention.

we made dinner, drank red wine and revived our favorite playlist.
we played it as loud as we wanted. and sang even louder.
we were up til 4 am cause we lost track of time.
because it didn't matter. because we didn't care.
we mastered a new art project and we just can't get enough.
it's genius. it's unique. and so us.
we slumber partied and slept late.
a walk to the coffee shop the next mornin. bagels & newspapers and stroll through the hood.
windows open; natural light & sunshine. more music, lots of music.
we smiled a lot too.
taking random photographs and dreaming up ideas.
our new project love.
our own handiwork.

plan-less turned perfect, a beautiful thing.

*our new handmade art is now up on the tin roof ramble!

Mouths agape.
Hands over mouths.
Looking at our works in shock.
Looking at each other.
Squealing with glee.

Each time we made one.
Can't wait for the Ramble, y'all!
