day one

hey y'all. (mom!)

we're here and it's awesome. 
and it's pretty much

hilarious

we've laughed more in ten hours than I have in a while and we are all about to burst out of our skin; ready for the travel, excited for the unplanned...but conscious of, embracing and taking in every single second. taking pictures and video galore...

at a campground 5 miles from the red rocks so i've got the dubyadubyadubya.

then after only about 10 minutes at our campground we were greeted by the most vibrant rainbow. then a double rainbow. seriously. and if you were on our porch the first night we discovered this video on youtube then you'll understand our excitement (video and reenactment to come...)

 

it's chilly cold...but we're diggin the break from our southern humidity. kinda fun to break out the fleece and cowboy boots again.

grillin hot dogs, drinkin box wine and whiskey. waitin on our little alabama star and his RV to roll in in the spot beside us...
and oh my, the guitar just made his debut...gotta go.
